Inclusive Curriculum Project Update - February
This latest blog comes from our research assistant, Katy Demeter.
Myself, Dr Charlotte Dann, and Rhiannon Johnston (research assistant) are embarking on a research project focusing on diversity and inclusion within the University of Northampton; from the staffs perspective. I myself am quite excited to get started, and to see what is uncovered from the research findings. We've got ethical approval now, and are starting the process of collecting data.
I personally enjoy getting involved in research - not everyone is given the opportunity, and it’s the other side to our preferred fields (like Psychology) that often isn’t visited.
It’s also important for aspiring Psychologists (like myself) to gain experience in research projects, not only as a ‘tick box’ exercise, but to really grasp what it’s like working within different teams for different organisations.
But back to the project... We’re hoping to start interviewing our participants soon and we’re keen to go so that we can start analysing and interpreting our findings!
